Job Summary

As a Data Scientist in our Audience Modeling and Data Science team, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and success through data-driven insights and solutions. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, drive, and oversee new strategies that ensure the growth of our advertising sales business and overall bottom line. Your expertise in data science, machine learning, and data engineering will enable us to create and optimize target market class models, integrate complex datasets, and publish target market attributes across various ad-serving endpoints.

Key Responsibilities


Develop and optimize target market class models: Create and refine models that enable us to predict and target strategic target market attributes, including brand affinity, buy behavior, and psychographics.
Integrate complex datasets: Combine large suites of complicated datasets, from virtual event logs to carrying event metadata, into carefully curated and reusable data models.
Publish target market attributes: Publish target market attributes across an array of ad-serving endpoints, ensuring alignment with the goals of each strategic sales vertical and the business as a whole.
Maintain and expand machine learning strategies: Enable training, scoring, and deployment of machine learning models at scale.
Develop and own data processing pipelines: Design and implement data processing pipelines that integrate streaming, advertising, and other feeds on the terabyte scale.
Transform complex data relationships: Convert complex data relationships into consumable and intuitive data models.
Implement modern authoring, orchestration, and monitoring tools: Utilize cutting-edge tools to author, orchestrate, and monitor data pipelines and workflows.


Essential Qualifications


5+ years of experience in data science or data engineering: Fluency in machine learning strategies and their relationship to underlying datasets.
Strong experience in Google Cloud: Expertise in BigQuery or similar SQL-based massive data warehouse.
Solid experience in Python: Proven ability to read, write, audit, and report code.
Ability to write detailed technical requirements: Strong communication and documentation skills.
Innovative thinker: Ability to work in both strategic and hands-on capacities, with a detail-oriented and conscientious approach.


Preferred Qualifications


Apache Beam and Apache Spark experience: Familiarity with these technologies is a plus.
Experience in data system orchestration tools: Knowledge of tools like Airflow, Snowpipe, or similar.
Proficiency in maintaining group projects in Git and GitHub: Experience with version control and collaboration tools.
Experience developing internal APIs: Familiarity with API design and development.


Education


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related analytical field: A strong foundation in analytical or computational fields.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this role is $136,038 to $182,490 per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive devices can be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
