Key Responsibilities Apply statistical modeling and data analysis skills to a wide range of business problems, including pricing and underwriting risk, claims automation, sales forecasting, and data mining applications. Develop and implement predictive models using various data science tools and techniques, such as Python, SAS, and R. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions. Communicate complex technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Participate in mentoring and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must: Be currently enrolled in Georgia Tech's Online Master of Science in Analytics (OMSA) program. Have experience in statistical modeling and/or data mining. Be proficient in data analysis and database tools. Have programming skills in languages such as Python, SAS, or R. Be able to effectively communicate and present technical work. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experiences will be considered a plus: Previous experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools. Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques. Knowledge of data mining applications and predictive modeling. Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems. What to Expect As a MAGNet intern, you can expect: To work 20 hours per week during the Spring Semester (January 8, 2024, to April 30, 2024).
