Experienced Data Entry Specialist for Cotton Seed Supply Team – Hybrid Role with Opportunities for Growth and Development

Our Cotton Seed Supply department is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Lubbock, TX. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Cotton Planning Team by ensuring accurate inventory and costing information. This is a full-time, contract role that offers a hybrid work arrangement, with onsite presence required once a week.

Job Overview
The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for data entry, management of master data, and analysis to ensure accurate inventory and costing information. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities

Input data into digital spreadsheets and/or databases with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Update existing records and verify entered data to ensure data integrity.
Assist administration in day-to-day tasks, providing support and ensuring seamless operations.
Post inventories into SAP, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
Monitor Bill of Lading to ensure timely receipt of required samples and correct tests, resolving any issues that may arise.
Classify batches to proper quality status with production managers' guidance, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Manage materials extension requests and resolve BOM, recipe, and costing issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Interface with finance and controlling for accurate costing information, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
Analyze materials to ensure accurate costing and minimize cost variances, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
Participate in monthly financial variance review meetings, presenting data and insights to stakeholders.
Perform data extractions/downloads from SAP and create reports using BW and Power BI, providing actionable recommendations to business leaders.
Build charts/graphs and KPIs for inventory analysis, visualizing data to inform business decisions.
Present and interpret data to assist in data-driven decision making, providing clear and concise insights to stakeholders.


Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:

High School diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and analytical skills.
1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and manipulation.
Experience with SAP is a plus, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.


Nice-to-Haves
While not required, the following skills and qualifications are desirable:

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create engaging presentations and reports.
