Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Operator to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Operator, you will play a critical role in processing claims and updating eligibility records, ensuring that our systems are accurate and up-to-date. You will be responsible for entering claims and eligibility records into our system, retrieving and reconciling information, and maintaining related departmental records and files. Key Responsibilities Enter claims and/or eligibility records into the system to process claims and update/correct file information through telephone and/or written contact, using proper grammar, punctuation, etiquette, etc. Retrieve and reconcile information in files when claims are rejected by the system Determine whether inaccurate data should be updated, routed, or adjudicated Correct and update claim information entered through the optical scanning or data entry process Maintain related departmental records and files Operate office equipment, which may include a personal computer, copier, fax machine, etc. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent One year of work experience in an office environment Ability to enter a minimum of 7,000 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (6,650 correct keystrokes per hour) Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months (test waived if candidate currently holds or has previously held a position which meets this requirement) Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be an asset in this role: Previous experience in data entry or claims processing Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
