Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Credentialing Specialist, your specific duties will include: Entering and updating provider credentialing information in the system with accuracy and attention to detail. Verifying licensure, certifications, education, and work history for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations. Tracking credentialing and re-credentialing deadlines, ensuring timely submission of documents and minimizing delays. Communicating with providers, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies to obtain required documentation, building strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently. Assisting in audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements. Generating reports related to credentialing status and compliance, providing valuable insights and supporting informed decision-making. Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive provider information, adhering to strict data protection protocols and ensuring the highest levels of confidentiality. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: High school diploma or equivalent required ; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus on healthcare administration, business, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or data entry preferred , with a strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards and regulations. Familiarity with credentialing databases and healthcare compliance standards , including knowledge of federal, state, and organizational regulations. Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy , with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) , with excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and software quickly. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills , with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external agencies , with the ability to build strong relationships, communicate complex information clearly, and resolve issues efficiently.
