Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Payroll and Database Management Specialist for a Leading Educational Institution

Job Purpose The role of the Data Entry Clerk at blithequark is to accurately enter payroll data into our payroll software, update, maintain data and databases, and ensure that all employee data is correct and up to date. This critical role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Human Resources and Accounting departments, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including: Verifying timecards are complete, checking daily for missing punches, correcting punches, and verifying time off balances Adding holidays, following blithequark policy, and updating employee profiles with compliance data Assisting with data entry tasks, such as entering student invoices in NetSuite and therapist invoices into NetSuite Performing other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and databases Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Good communication skills and a team player, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Associate degree in business, preferably Accounting, or a related field Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: At least 2 years of experience as a Data Entry Clerk, with a strong understanding of payroll and database management Experience working with ADP Payroll and NetSuite, or similar software systems Associate degree in business, preferably Accounting, or a related field Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees.
