Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining our database by entering new and updated customer and insurance information after samples are processed in our laboratory. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure 100% accuracy with regards to content and spelling. You will also be responsible for organizing cases by type and preparing them for daily filing, as well as outreach to customers and clinics to validate incomplete information. Primary Responsibilities Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities, and ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. Process customer and insurance source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies, resolving discrepancies using standard procedures, and returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution. Enter customer and insurance data after samples are processed by the laboratory, double-checking your work to ensure all data is correct and complete. Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures, verifying entered customer and insurance data, and reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data as necessary. Contact customers and clinics directly to validate incomplete information, maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, preparing requisitions to be filed daily, and performing other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: High School Diploma or GED, with a preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Healthcare, Marketing, or a Business-related field. At least 1 year of insurance experience is a plus, with a strong background in data entry, organization, typing, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work in an office setting, using a computer keyboard, communicating over the telephone, and reading printed material, with occasional requirements to work outside normal working hours.
