About the Supported Hunt Information Group The Supported Hunt Information group is at the heart of Walmart's advertising platform, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the data pipelines, databases, and ETL processes that power our self-serve advertising stage. Our team collaborates closely with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure data quality, availability, and reliability for analysis and reporting. As a Data Entry Clerk in this group, you will play a critical role in accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information into our database systems, supporting the smooth operation of our advertising platform. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of data to support advertising on Walmart.com and its subsidiaries. Work on cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud for data storage, processing, and analysis, leveraging your expertise in data engineering concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining. Create and deploy large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on public clouds like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure. Collaborate with other Scrum teams, QA, Product, Program Management, and Affiliate Operations, while working with cross-functional project development teams to drive project success. Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues across cross-functional teams, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong foundation in data engineering concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining. The ideal candidate will have: Proficiency in working with data technologies, including SQL, Python, Flash, Scala, Hadoop, and related technologies and tools. Experience with ETL tools like Apache NiFi, and strong skills working with relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra). Hands-on experience with real-time message processing using Apache Kafka, and expertise in designing and implementing data models for efficient storage and retrieval. A growth-oriented mindset and a willingness to raise the technical bar, as well as identify potential opportunities for improving existing processes, tools, and systems to achieve high scale and efficiency. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences. A strong sense of ownership and accountability, self-discipline, and focus on high-quality standards, and a team-oriented approach that values design thinking, efficiency, and innovation. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge: Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Cloud Computing Services like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure, as well as Distributed Storage Systems like Hive and Elastic Search.
