Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in San Juan, PR. As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare operations, specifically in the area of billing data entry, acquisition, and processing. Your primary responsibilities will include entering billing information, navigating multiple computer applications, and conducting research to resolve data entry issues. Primary Responsibilities

Data entry of billing mnemonics and all required billing information from imaged requisitions, including US postal addresses, medical codes, and insurance carrier details
Follow procedural guidelines to enter information into systems and respond to patient inquiries
Navigate multiple computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, online applications, and mainframe applications
Conduct basic research in computer applications to perform data entry tasks, such as addressing, billing codes, and reject codes
Data entry utilizing templates for letters and other correspondences
Data entry, transfer, and entry of received data from Quest Diagnostics into required applications to initiate the billing cycle
Research mail returns and update invoices with current information in the appropriate billing system, noting patient bills with actions taken
Research denied bills due to patient non-coverage, errors in patient information, or insurance information, and resolve issues for re-billing


Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

At least 1 year of data entry experience
Customer service experience
Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish
Proficiency with computers, Windows PC, and web applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
Ability to work 40 hours/week during standard business operating hours, Monday - Friday, from 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime on weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred qualifications include:

Medical billing experience
Proven knowledge of medical or health insurance terminology
Solid Microsoft Excel skills
