Job Overview blithequark is seeking an experienced Information Researcher II to join its Production network Estimating Examination group. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing predictive models, analyzing data, and providing insights to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with demand planning, operations, and supply planning teams to provide top-tier forecasting support and drive cross-functional preparation and execution of practical areas, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales Evaluate, interpret, and analyze data to develop accurate and reliable demand forecasts for use in labor requirements and capacity quantification, leveraging statistical models and machine learning tools to scientifically evaluate macro changes from marketing, pricing, and advertising Develop data-driven, insightful analyses to answer business questions, with an emphasis on root-causing, addressing business challenges, identifying potential opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations Enable blithequark management to make informed, data-based decisions by providing business analyses and technical support, especially in areas where data is challenging to access/unreliable and where a high level of technical expertise is required Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes and systems, working with Operations, IT, Sales, and Finance to leverage the capabilities of ERP systems and other planning tools, and directing the implementation of forecasting strategies and software tools to deliver and monitor forecast accuracy Analyze supply chain data and information to inform key supply chain decisions using advanced BI tools and reporting, and develop BI solutions to report business health and performance for management review Essential Qualifications A postgraduate degree (M.S. or equivalent experience) in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 2 years of supply chain and forecasting or demand planning experience Ability to understand and apply advanced mathematics, including statistical models and machine learning algorithms SQL proficiency and experience working with predictive models, including Time Series Models, Linear Regression, Facebook Prophet, and advanced ML models Ability to translate complex data sets and analysis into straightforward business implications, and to assemble data into unified reports Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and to utilize collaborative software tools, such as Git, Jira, and other project management platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience working in e-commerce, retail, or startup environments, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these industries Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with a strong ability to self-motivate and manage time and priorities Experience with BI tools, such as Tableau or similar platforms, and with data visualization techniques and best practices Ability to travel occasionally, as required by the business Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
