As a Data Engineering Manager at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work with significant establishments, including renowned game studios, to integrate data arrangements into the game development pipeline. Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of data tools, mentoring the team on techniques to improve data quality, and applying your expertise to ensure the right data is ingested across the pipeline. You will work closely with data scientists, applied researchers, and quality specialists to find innovative ways to integrate data solutions into the game development process. Your key responsibilities will include: Helping others build code to extract raw data, mentor the team on techniques to improve its quality, and apply your deep knowledge to ensure the right data is ingested across the pipeline Leading the development of data tools used to transform, manage, and access data, and advising the team on writing and validating code to test the capability and availability of data platforms Directing the implementation of performance monitoring protocols across data pipelines, training the team on building visualizations and collections to monitor pipeline health, and mentoring others on implementing solutions and self-healing processes that minimize weaknesses across multiple products Assisting others in identifying data management needs, overseeing the design of data representation, and implementing processes to ensure consistency with all relevant regulations and policies Preparing colleagues for meetings with relevant stakeholders across teams, addressing concerns around data requirements, and providing guidance on feature assessment Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 4+ years of experience in business analysis, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering work Alternatively, a master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering work Or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust cloud-based big data solutions 1+ year of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or a similar role Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with agile methodologies and version control systems Knowledge of data engineering tools and technologies, such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Amazon Web Services Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
