Job Overview This role at arenaflex involves working closely with business partners to understand their data requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and discussing requirements from business partners across various verticals, building new data ingestions using a combination of local and internal arenaflex tools, and maintaining and improving existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving standards and corporate directives. A Day in the Life The responsibilities of this role include: Gathering and discussing requirements from business partners across verticals such as memberships, sales, reverse logistics, finance, product, and more. Building new data ingestions using a combination of local and internal arenaflex tools. Maintaining and improving existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving standards and corporate directives. Building, improving, and maintaining systems or tools for internal team and external partner use to manage data. Performing code reviews and ensuring best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams. About the Team The Data Warehouse team at arenaflex is responsible for managing the centralized data repository for the organization. We acquire and distribute data from various internal and external sources, which are utilized by different stakeholders, such as product engineering, finance, supply chain, marketing, customer service, and sales. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 3+ years of data engineering experience. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience with SQL. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with arenaflex technologies like Redshift, S3, arenaflex Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Fire Hose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions. Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS. Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases). Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. You will also need to be highly analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and business needs.
