We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team, specifically within the Information Engineering group. As a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing and maintaining data pipelines and databases to collaborating with cross-functional teams on various development and sustainment projects.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the development and sustainment of products for our Media business. Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and improving data acquisition processes, data validation processes, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and overall process alerting strategies
Gathering data requirements, source-to-target mapping, data validation scripting and review, data visualization, creating and monitoring ETL/ELT data pipelines, designing and implementing database schema/tables/views, and producing datasets as input to science models and representations
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Decision Science Products, Decision Science, Client, and Technology colleagues, on various development and sustainment projects, ad-hoc requests, prototyping, and research initiatives
Utilizing a range of technologies, including SQL (primarily Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Python, Docker, Gitlab, and Windstream, to deliver high-quality results


Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance
Proven expertise and proficiency in using Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development
Experience creating and maintaining automated work schedulers
A solid understanding of relational database design and functionality


Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following skills and qualifications will be highly regarded:

Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, ideally AWS
Experience managing and deploying code using a source control product like GitLab/GitHub
Experience using Docker
