Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, building, testing, and maintenance of data pipelines at a massive scale. Your expertise will be instrumental in updating data from multiple sources, batch processing of collected data, and ensuring its alignment with stored data for efficient handling and analysis. You will also play a key role in optimizing the environment and pipeline for maximum efficiency, troubleshooting performance and data-related issues, and providing level 3 support. Implementing parsers, validators, transformers, and correlators to reformat, update, and enhance data will be among your key responsibilities. Your technical guidance will be invaluable to less senior team members, and your proposals for highly complex issues will contribute significantly to our engineering efforts. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines to support business operations and decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven data engineering solutions. Ensure the optimization of data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall engineering quality. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our data engineering capabilities. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A strong technical foundation in programming languages, database systems, and distributed systems is essential. Experience with Microsoft Azure and knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines will be highly valued. Your ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment, using version control systems and participating in code reviews, is crucial. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in data engineering, with a focus on large-scale data pipeline development and maintenance. Expertise in programming languages such as Scala, Python, and SQL. Familiarity with big data tools like HDFS, Kafka, and Spark. Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Terraform, YAML, and JSON. Knowledge of data storage solutions including relational and NoSQL databases. Experience with data analytics and machine learning libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and TensorFlow.
