About the Role

As a Data Engineer at NIKE, Inc., you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing data products and features that drive business decisions. You'll collaborate with product owners, data analysts, and business partners to develop scalable data solutions that meet the needs of our ever-evolving organization. Key Responsibilities


Design and implement data products and features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and standards for processing and evaluating big data.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks aimed at processing large volumes of data.
Translate product backlog items into logical units of engineering work.
Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem.
Build tools, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns.
Collaborate with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and technical best practices are defined and followed.
Create and participate in automated unit tests and participate in integration tests.
Use and extend continuous integration and deployment frameworks.
Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis.
Work in teams to resolve operational and performance issues.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:


A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Information Systems.
At least 2 years of experience in a data engineering or computer-related position.
Proficiency in the following technologies and skills:

Spark
Hive

AWS
Apache Airflow
EMR
Data Bricks
Data Structures
Algorithms
Automated Unit Testing
CI/CD
Create Data Feeds
