**About the Data Designing (DE) Group:**
The Data Designing (DE) group is a critical component of arenaflex's Data Science + Mix (DDSI) association, which supports clients across the company, including Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Disney Media Networks, and ESPN. Our team uses data engineering, data analysis, and data visualization to investigate opportunities, shape business decisions, and drive business value. **Job Responsibilities:**
As a Data Engineer in our DE group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and datasets for our Media business. Your work will include:
* Gathering data requirements and planning data pipelines
* Designing and implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines
* Creating and maintaining data sets, including tables, views, and stored procedures
* Developing and deploying data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
* Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to deliver data sets and insights
* Troubleshooting and resolving data pipeline issues
* Developing and maintaining automated workflows and schedulers
* Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
* Strong experience with Python and SQL, ideally with Snowflake
* Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks
* Experience with source control systems such as GitLab and GitHub
* Experience with Docker and containerization
* Strong understanding of data sets and data pipelines
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
* Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and business intelligence
