Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer and Customer Support Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our cloud infrastructure Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improvement Provide exceptional customer support, ensuring that customer needs are met and issues are resolved promptly Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and program managers to understand requirements and develop flexible, robust, and scalable data pipelines and data processing workflows Architect and implement large-scale systems and data pipelines with an emphasis on agility, interoperability, ease, and reusability Develop and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and data platforms that support business intelligence and analytics Ensure data quality, security, and compliance, and develop solutions that support metadata logging, anomaly detection, data cleaning, and transformation Essential Qualifications 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in distributed computing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), ETL, data processing frameworks, and modern SDLC practices (e.g., CI/CD, unit testing, integration testing, e2e testing) Proficiency in at least one widely used programming language, and SQL skills Experience with various data modeling methodologies, such as star, snowflake, fact constellation, or NoSQL modeling Experience working in a cloud infrastructure environment and using various AWS/GCP services 2+ years of experience with workflow management tools, such as Apache Airflow, Control-M, Azure Data Factory, AWS Step Functions, etc. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Some experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, IBM Cognos Analytics, or Business Objects Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field Experience with machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and soft skills.
