About the Role As a Data Center Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Google's advanced data center server and network infrastructure. You'll work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our goals, missions, and tasks are delivered efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities Contribute to and lead efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure. Participate in or lead complex troubleshooting and resolve critical or escalated technical issues. Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues on servers. Deploy and maintain Google's advanced Data Center Server and Network Infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications: Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware/ community problems using Linux tools. Knowledge of working inside a data center or network operations center environment. Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosing computer, server, and network hardware. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience with mild coding or scripting. Experience in project management and leadership. Experience with networking protocols. Ability to collaborate and associate with teams to overcome problems. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Linux and hardware troubleshooting.
