Job Responsibilities As a Data Architect at blithequark, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and ensuring that our data systems are aligned with our business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining the enterprise data model, including data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical metadata. Understanding enterprise information needs and analyzing and aligning with other business models. Defining and maintaining the data technology architecture, data integration architecture, data warehouse and BI architecture, and enterprise taxonomies and namespaces. Conceptualizing the general data architectural framework for large, complicated evaluations of data to be used throughout the enterprise. Collaborating with Data Engineers on data model, its maintenance and optimization, as well as end-to-end data-driven integration strategy. Participating in growing the future nation data architecture requirements, guidelines, and principles. Optimizing performance of queries and ELT/ETL procedures, enhancing batch workouts by optimizing for more contemporary, near real-time capabilities. Building high-quality data pipelines driving analytic solutions and driving data platform architectural choices and development requirements. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or a related discipline, OR a High School/GED and at least 7 years of experience in data/analytics architecture, engineering design, configuration experience, and/or a related discipline. At least 1 year of experience in domain-specific Architecture. Experience developing cloud-based solutions. Knowledge of DevOps. At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace. At least 2 years of direct management, indirect management, and/or cross-functional team management. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within the state and out of the state). Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills, including experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data engineering. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions.
