Our Transportation Analytics crew plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain, and we're looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our team. **Job Responsibilities** As an Experienced Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working with large, messy, disparate datasets to provide actionable insights that inform business decisions. Your primary responsibilities will include: * **Data Analysis**: Work with large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business decisions. Develop and maintain ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to centralize data from multiple sources into a single table. * **Data Visualization**: Create impactful Tableau dashboards to display and quantify the effects of changes and specific business challenges. Develop data visualization strategies to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders. * **Collaboration**: Engage with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Product groups, to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems. Analyze stakeholder needs and develop data solutions to meet their requirements. * **Automation**: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks, such as screenshot generation, metric prioritization, and outlier recognition. * **Documentation**: Document your processes and share your expertise with colleagues. Mentor junior team members as you become a Subject Matter Expert. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * **Bachelor's Degree**: In a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Administration. * **SQL Skills**: Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience). * **Tableau Experience**: Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience). * **Business Operations Fluency**: Ability to recognize and root-cause business problems, with a Supply Chain background and transportation experience. * **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build credibility with stakeholders. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, advanced experience with the following skills is highly desirable: * **Advanced SQL and Tableau**: Experience with advanced SQL and Tableau techniques, including data modeling, data visualization, and data storytelling. * **E-commerce Operations**: Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, including data analysis and business process improvement. * **Scripting Languages**: Experience with scripting languages, including Python, R, or other languages. * **Data Manipulation Tools**: Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, and other tools. **Benefits** As a valued member of the blithequark team, you can expect a competitive compensation package, including: * **Hourly Rate**: $20-30/hour, depending on experience. * **Benefits**: Beyond our exceptional compensation package, you can acquire incentive awards for your performance.
