Join Apple's Core Operating Systems Group as a Workflow Systems Analyst

Are you a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for data analysis and workflow optimization? Apple is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Core Operating Systems group as a Workflow Systems Analyst. As a key member of our Platform Services and Operations team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing critical workflow tooling at scale, driving process improvements, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.

About Apple's Core Operating Systems Group

At Apple, our Core Operating Systems group is responsible for creating the operating systems that power our innovative products, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Our team is dedicated to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and applications into a seamless Apple experience. As a Workflow Systems Analyst, you will be an integral part of this team, working closely with cross-functional partners to drive workflow improvement initiatives and deliver high-quality software through superior engineering experiences, efficient workflow, data-driven insights, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities


Engage with leadership to drive workflow improvement initiatives in both quality and efficiency, and develop strategies to achieve key objectives.
Design and develop dashboards to visualize key data, and collaborate with stakeholders to refine and implement feedback.
Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights that inform business decisions.
Research and document the current state of software development workflow, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
Collaborate with a team of data scientists and full-stack engineers to develop targeted insights through interactive dashboards using Tableau.
Work directly with teams to integrate insights into their monitoring and decision-making processes, and monitor the impact of your contributions.
Regularly report on successes and challenges to executive leadership, and provide recommendations for future improvements.


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:


A Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of professional experience in software development as a data analyst, software engineer, or technical program manager.
Experience leading and driving execution across disparate partner groups towards a unified objective.
A strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Management principles.
The ability to blend key success measures, present strategy, and process suggestions to all levels of leadership.
Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and the presentation of quantitative data using Tableau.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to groups and gather and implement feedback.


Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with:


Advanced skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and principles of predictive analysis, including advanced Tableau development.
A proven track record of driving positive outcomes across a distributed organization through formal organizational change methods.
Knowledge of DevOps metrics, and LEAN software delivery concepts.
Experience with software development, including understanding build pipelines, merging, test frameworks and methodologies, and the delivery of code.
