Job Overview As a Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for working with our Transportation Analytics team to guide everyday operations and provide insights to our customers. Key Responsibilities Some of the key responsibilities of this role include: Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions Creating ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection Documenting processes and sharing expertise with colleagues, as well as mentoring peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience) Creativity with a User Experience basis to create impactful Tableau dashboards (1-2 years of experience) Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to understand and root cause business problems, and a Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations Experience with Python or other scripting languages Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc. Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and identify business problems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and establish credibility with stakeholders Strong technical skills, including SQL, Tableau, and scripting languages such as Python Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity Career Growth Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
