Job Overview This role is an integral part of our Business Intelligence group, supporting the transportation team's daily operations. As a Data Analyst, you will assist clients in navigating through vast amounts of data to make the best decisions possible. Your expertise will be crucial in providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders, helping them understand complex business issues and identify opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Finance, and Product groups, to ensure data accuracy, completion, and timeliness across various projects and systems. Key Responsibilities Work with large, complex, and diverse datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions rapidly. Design and develop ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) or processes to pull data from various sources and concentrate it into a single table, ensuring data integrity and reliability. Develop data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of changes and unique business challenges, providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Engage with colleagues and cross-functional teams on a regular basis, establishing credibility and trust, and collaborating to share significant data and insights. Utilize scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks and reporting, including data prioritization, anomaly detection, and metrics analysis. Document processes and share knowledge with colleagues, guiding them as you become a subject matter expert and contributing to the team's growth and development. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics. Exceptional SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity. Creativity with a Client Experience platform to develop meaningful Scene Dashboards. Business acumen, with the ability to understand and analyze business issues, and a supply chain background, ideally with transportation experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced experience with SQL and Scene. Experience with e-commerce operations or package carrier activities. Experience with Python or other scripting languages. Experience with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, and others.
