About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of the Transportation Analytics crew, you will assist our customers in making informed decisions by providing actionable insights and data visualizations. You will work closely with operations and finance teams to offer them the insights they need to drive business success. Key Responsibilities Work with large, complex datasets to perform ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions. Create ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table. Develop data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges using tools like Tableau. Engage with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs. Partner with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems. Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition. Document your processes and share your expertise with colleagues. Mentor your peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert in data analysis and business intelligence. Essential Qualifications Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience). Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience). Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to recognize and root cause business problems. A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience, is preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, with a strong understanding of data visualization principles and practices. Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, with a deep understanding of the transportation industry and its challenges. Experience with Python or other scripting languages, with the ability to automate tasks and processes using code. Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, and other similar technologies.
