**Experienced Customer Service/Sales Professional – Home Improvement Retail**

**Job Summary:**
As an Experienced Customer Service/Sales Professional, you'll be the face of arenaflex, providing fast, friendly service to our customers and helping them achieve their home improvement goals. You'll learn about our products, tools, and services, and use this knowledge to sell entire projects to customers. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with your Department Supervisor and other associates to ensure a safe, clean, and shop-able store.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance
* Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and handle basics in adjacent departments
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards & unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
* Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales and customer engagement
* Meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
* Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and company initiatives to provide expert advice to customers
**Essential Qualifications:**
* 1-2 years of customer-facing experience in a retail or sales environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
* Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience in a home improvement or retail environment
* Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
* Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
* Previous sales or customer service experience in a leadership role
