**Job Summary**

As a Customer Service/Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

* Providing fast, friendly, and personalized service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance with product selection and sales
* Developing a deep understanding of department and product knowledge to effectively recommend and sell products to customers
* Maintaining a clean, shoppable, and safe store environment, including in-stock condition of assigned areas
* Collaborating with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
* Working safely and following all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment

**Key Responsibilities**

* Greet and qualify customers, providing personalized service and recommendations to meet their needs
* Develop and maintain a deep understanding of department and product knowledge to effectively recommend and sell products to customers
* Maintain a clean, shoppable, and safe store environment, including in-stock condition of assigned areas
* Collaborate with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
* Work safely and follow all safety policies and standards to ensure a safe working and shopping environment
* Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales and customer engagement
* Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including Pro Accounts and repeat customers
* Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling returns and exchanges
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions

**Essential Qualifications**

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a retail or building materials environment
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
* Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly about new products and promotions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and issues effectively
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending and reaching

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience working in a sales floor environment, with a focus on customer service and sales
* Knowledge of building materials and home improvement products, including tools, hardware, and building supplies
* Experience working with Pro Accounts and repeat customers
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in multiple languages
