Job Description and Key Responsibilities In this remote role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with families and schools participating in the scholarship program. Your primary responsibilities will include responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship application and funding status, and ensuring that all questions are answered, and callers are satisfied. You will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, addressing the varied needs of callers, and resolving issues in a professional and empathetic manner. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Responding to incoming calls and providing timely and accurate information to callers Addressing student inquiries and resolving issues related to scholarship applications and funding status Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all callers are satisfied with the support they receive Working collaboratively with families and schools to resolve issues and provide support Maintaining accurate records and documentation of calls and interactions with callers Identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions to enhance the customer service experience Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: At least one year of customer service or call center experience English proficiency (a language assessment will be required) Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience The ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult or tense situations Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and the ability to multitask Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Previous experience working in a non-profit or education-related field Knowledge of scholarship programs and funding processes Experience working in a remote or virtual environment Proficiency in multiple languages Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software or other customer service tools Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
