About the Role

As a Work from Home Customer Service Agent with MCI, you will play a critical role in delivering top-notch customer service, technical support, and sales interactions to clients across the country. Key Responsibilities


Handle inbound customer inquiries and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
Utilize systems and technology to complete account management tasks and ensure accurate customer information
Recognize sales opportunities and apply sales skills to upgrade or sell new products and services
Explain and position products and processes with customers, ensuring they understand the value proposition
Escalate customer dissatisfaction to managerial teams and resolve complex issues
Ensure first-call resolution through effective problem-solving and call handling


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:


Be at least 18 years old
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Have excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Be able to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words per minute)
Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Be familiar with Windows operating system
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance
Possess problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
Be customer-service oriented, empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious
Be able to multitask, stay focused, and self-manage
Have a strong team orientation and customer focus


Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer service or sales experience
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

As a Work from Home Customer Service Agent, you will be required to work from a dedicated home office with a reliable broadband connection. You will be expected to maintain a professional work environment, free from distractions, and adhere to MCI's policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves sitting/standing for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. You will be required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. You may occasionally need to move about the office to accomplish tasks or lift objects up to 40 pounds.
