Job Summary As a Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Request Pharmacy, you will be responsible for providing phone support to patients, handling new prescription orders, and reorders. You will work closely with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide solutions that meet patients' needs. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you a valuable asset to our team. Key Responsibilities: Provide phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug treatment, answering questions, and resolving issues related to prescription orders and reorders. Coordinate and handle new patient prescription orders and reorders, including checking benefits, verifying patient information, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment. Assist patients with interpreting and entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system, communicating copay amounts, and obtaining approvals. Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues, identify potential problems, and ensure seamless patient care. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders. Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities to meet productivity and quality standards. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, customer service, business administration). At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone. Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications. One year of PC keyboarding experience, with strong typing skills and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare work experience, including benefits, insurance, solutions, and clinical terminology. Familiarity with pharmacy operations, including prescription processing and fulfillment. Experience working with patients who have chronic conditions or complex medical needs.
