About the Position
This is a full-time, remote position, with initial training taking place at our Crown Point office. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, disciplined, and confident in their abilities to work without supervision. As a Customer Service Representative - Self Pay Collector with arenaflex, you will be responsible for effectively communicating with patients and guarantors, reviewing policies, EOBs, EHRs, and performing accurate data entry while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Follow established collection procedures to pursue payment of patient accounts
Review arenaflex and client systems to accurately collect patient balances
Confer with clients and guarantors respectfully, following all policies established by the client and arenaflex
Follow all FDCPA rules and regulations during the collection process when working on bad debt accounts
Perform collection duties to ensure prompt payment from guarantors, using check by phone, credit card, and payment plan options
Review client and arenaflex systems to verify accuracy of balance and document notes in the system describing work completed on accounts
Follow all policies set forth for each specific client and meet productivity standards set by arenaflex
Interact courteously and compassionately with other associates and maintain a professional appearance


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Customer service experience in a healthcare setting, with proven experience in billing/claims in hospital, physician, and lab settings
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel
Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
Cash posting experience and knowledge of revenue cycle, HIPAA, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and claim remittances/EOB comprehension
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and guarantors
High school diploma or equivalent required, with one year of experience in a related field preferred


Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish
Experience working in a remote environment
Knowledge of FDCPA and HIPAA rules and regulations
Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
