Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the general public, students, and staff, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about our courses, certificate programs, and academic departments. You will work closely with our technical groups, student services team, and other stakeholders to ensure that our students receive the best possible support and guidance throughout their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and the general public, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about our courses, certificate programs, and academic departments.
Register students via telephone, fax, email, and in-person, and process transcript requests, course description requests, certificate audits, and other student services duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Prepare appropriate forms, solve enrollment discrepancies, and provide general information to students regarding certificate completion, Concurrent Enrollment, student grant programs, and other services.
Work closely with our technical groups to troubleshoot issues, resolve problems, and improve our services, including Tax Relief Act requirements and preparing 1098t's for students as needed.
Provide ideas and input on methods to improve our services, enhance the student experience, and increase customer satisfaction.
Key holder responsibilities for opening and/or closing the site, ensuring that our facilities are secure, well-maintained, and ready for use.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of skills, knowledge, and experience. These include:
Demonstrated ability to advise students and the general public regarding academic programs, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including experience in dealing with the public with diplomacy, tact, and flexibility with a diverse customer base.
Proven ability to accurately record and monitor expenses and funds, handle cash according to strict policies, and maintain confidentiality of financial, personal, and academic records.
Demonstrated experience providing work direction and training to lower-level employees, and ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.
Knowledge of standard office equipment and basic computer hardware, and proven working knowledge of computer software, including Word and Excel.
Ability to operate office equipment, proofread numerical and alpha characters with keen attention to detail, and demonstrate strong data-entry skills.
Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, student services, or a related field.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of academic programs, policies, and procedures, and ability to interpret and apply them in a customer service context.
