Job Summary We're looking for a highly skilled and empathetic Customer Service Representative to serve as a single-point-of-contact for our members, plan sponsors, and providers. As a key member of our team, you'll take ownership of each customer contact, resolving issues and connecting them with additional services as needed. Your goal will be to provide customized, emotional connections with our members, building trusting and caring relationships that exceed their expectations. Key Responsibilities: Respond to phone calls from members, plan sponsors, and providers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Take ownership of each customer contact, seeking to understand their circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Ask probing questions to identify underlying customer needs and provide related information to address unasked questions. Provide customized interactions based on customer preferences and individualized needs, creating emotional connections with our members. Educate and assist customers on various elements of benefit plan information and available services, enhancing the overall customer service experience. Utilize relevant information to effectively influence member engagement and provide education to support them in managing their health. Guide members to the appropriate health resources, offering alternatives where necessary, and act with the best interest of the customer in mind. Document and track all contacts, events, and outcomes with members using appropriate systems and processes. Resolve issues without or with limited management intervention, responding quickly to meet customer needs and avoid over-committing. Requirements and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need: Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail location, demonstrating empathy and compassion. Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. High School Diploma required. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in healthcare or a related field. Familiarity with customer service software and systems. Compensation The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $29.88 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
