Job Overview and Responsibilities The Customer Service Representative II will be the frontline ambassador for our Development Services Department, providing top-notch support to internal and external customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting departmental goals. Key responsibilities include: Responding to internal and external email communications, service requests submitted via CRM, phone calls, and face-to-face inquiries from customers regarding permit applications and processing Resolving problems related to registrations, building permits, and other related permits in a timely and efficient manner Conducting research to resolve issues and explaining applicable codes, ordinances, policies, and procedures to customers via phone, electronic communication, and face-to-face interactions Issuing registrations, licenses, and permits in accordance with applicable codes and ordinances, and assessing applicable fees Ensuring consistency and quality of customer service, performing daily tasks that require adherence to specific deadlines, and promoting departmental goals and meeting business needs Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess: High school diploma/GED Two (2) years of responsible customer service experience within the Development Services Department Preferred qualifications include: Municipal customer service or permitting experience Bilingual skills: English/Spanish desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with customers with varying levels of expertise GIS, Accela Automation & CRM skills Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of skills and competencies, including: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct research and resolve issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team, promoting departmental goals and meeting business needs Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
