Job Overview: Customer Service Representative - Remote In this role, you will be working in our Coverage Review Department call center, specializing in prior authorizations. Prior authorization is a crucial process that determines whether a prescribed procedure, service, or medication is covered by a member's current health plan. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of blithequark, making a significant difference in our success. Your primary responsibility will be to receive inbound calls from doctor's offices or pharmacies, requesting coverage for specific medications or services. Key Responsibilities: Receive and respond to inbound calls from healthcare professionals, providing exceptional customer service and support Conduct initial screenings of prior authorization requests using online tools and guidelines, approving or referring requests to a pharmacist for clinical review as needed Manage a high volume of calls, with an average of 10-30 calls per day, and adapt to busy seasons with increased call volumes Utilize multiple systems (up to 5) to complete tasks, with comprehensive training provided to ensure proficiency Attend all scheduled trainings, including the initial 90-day training period, to ensure a solid understanding of our processes and systems Enjoy the flexibility of working from home, with virtual connections to coworkers and customers, while maintaining a dedicated workspace with minimal distractions Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess: A High School diploma or equivalent 1-5 years of experience in call center and customer service environments Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows operating system Strong organization, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, providing empathetic and helpful support to customers Excellent interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings and overtime, as determined by business needs A dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity and minimal distractions Essential Skills and Competencies: Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities Proficiency in using technology, including computer systems and software applications Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and support Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
