Key Responsibilities Handle a high volume of phone calls, emails, and correspondence from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties, providing timely and accurate responses to their inquiries. Process policyholder requests, including claim payments, policy information, and other related tasks, ensuring that all actions are completed efficiently and effectively. Review and maintain new and revised procedures regarding policy information, staying up-to-date with changes and updates in our insurance operations. Maintain department standards for number of calls, average handle time, and time management, ensuring that performance metrics are met or exceeded. Demonstrate excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college education preferred. At least one year of office experience, preferably in a customer service or telecommunications environment. A background in Life and Health insurance is desirable, as well as knowledge of insurance operations. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally. Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions. Basic PC skills, with the ability to type at least 30 words per minute. Excellent alpha and number recognition skills, with demonstrated mathematical abilities. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), with a pay differential available for eligible candidates. Previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of insurance industry trends and developments.
