About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Communicate information regarding claims status, eligibility, and benefits to office professionals, groups, covered members, and brokers, providing superior customer service at all times
Document each customer encounter or resolution in our computer tracking system
Accurately complete call tracking and contact service forms and route to the appropriate department
Identify and report any critical or recurring customer service issues to your Supervisor
Participate in training programs, as designated, to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer complaints and concerns
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and services to provide accurate and informative responses to customer inquiries
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
High School Diploma or GED is required
6+ months of customer service experience within a call center or high-volume customer contact environment is required
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle constant customer contact and provide tailored solutions
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a variety of customers and levels of staff
Ability to maintain confidentiality of internal and external customer information
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and understand and retain detailed information
Ability to problem-solve and use critical thinking skills to resolve customer complaints and concerns
Ability to deescalate customer calls and handle conflict resolution in a professional and courteous manner
Knowledge of or ability to learn basic dental terminology and procedures
PC skills, including internet and windows-based applications

Previous experience in a healthcare or insurance environment
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
