Job Overview and Responsibilities As a Customer Contact Center Trainee at blithequark, you will serve as a frontline representative, assisting our members, retirees, and employers with a wide range of questions, inquiries, and requests related to post-retirement pension and benefit information. Your primary responsibilities will include: Responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence in a timely and professional manner Providing accurate and helpful information to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues efficiently Utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers, staff, and other stakeholders Maintaining accurate records and documentation of customer interactions, using our database and software systems Collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals, share knowledge, and improve processes Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge of blithequark's products and services Work Schedule and Requirements This part-time position requires a commitment of 29 hours per week, with flexible scheduling between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You will be required to attend virtual training sessions, facilitated by Microsoft Teams, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, during the initial training period. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent At least 2 years of relevant experience in a high-volume customer service position Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently, both verbally and in writing Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A college degree in a related field, such as communications, business, or human resources Prior experience in pension, benefit plan, HR, or counseling Knowledge of financial planning terminology and the ability to interpret and apply benefit plan information Experience working with diverse customer populations and using various communication mediums Career Growth and Development Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
