Job Overview
As a Ticket/Gate Agent at our St. Louis International Airport (STL) location, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, responding to their queries and resolving any issues that may arise during the check-in and boarding process.
Handle ticketing, including issuing tickets, handling refunds and exchanges, and resolving any ticket-related issues.
Check in passengers, verify travel documents, and ensure that all necessary requirements are met before allowing passengers to board the flight.
Manage the boarding process, ensuring that passengers are boarded efficiently and that flights depart on time.
Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to supervisors or managers as necessary.
Collaborate with other airport staff, including flight attendants, pilots, and ground crew, to ensure the smooth operation of flights.
Stay up-to-date with Delta's policies and procedures, as well as any changes to airport regulations or security protocols.


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an airport or travel-related environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines, and remain calm and composed under pressure.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn Delta's proprietary software systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

Previous experience working in an airport environment, preferably as a ticket or gate agent.
Knowledge of Delta's policies and procedures, as well as airport regulations and security protocols.
