Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, primarily face-to-face, supporting their branch and rental needs. This is an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge through local training and hands-on experience, providing administrative support, servicing customers, and acting as a rental backup in a large home city branch or airport location. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive a high level of service, while also promoting the company's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include:

Providing a high level of customer service by assisting customers and assessing their rental needs in person and over the phone
Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and timely manner
Providing directions and general assistance
Assisting to assess the condition of rental vehicles upon return
Processing returns, check-ins, and exit kiosk transactions
Effectively marketing the company while picking up customers and/or dropping off customers in a safe and courteous manner and assisting customers as needed
Understanding and communicating rental terms and conditions, vehicle features, and other services
May sell optional protection products, upgrades, fuel options, and other additional equipment
Responsible for notifying Management of any known vehicle problems and any required vehicle maintenance
Cleaning vehicle interior and exterior by hand or by operating washing equipment when needed
Performing various administrative and basic accounting functions such as research and billing support tasks, accounts receivables, transfer and key logs, running miscellaneous reports, supply maintenance, and processing customer billing
Taking incoming calls – reservations, rate quotes, general questions, and answers, providing information and resolution for customers, other branches, insurance companies, dealerships, repair shops, and other vendors
Managing outgoing calls for callback management, A/Rs, and miscellaneous calls as assigned
Performing miscellaneous and backup duties job-related duties as assigned


Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
A minimum of 1 year of customer service and sales experience in retail, guest service, or hospitality
A current and valid driver's license
No more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record within the past 5 years (i.e., DUI, DWI)
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future


Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

Prior experience in the automotive rental industry
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications
