Job Overview
As a Customer Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support and solutions to our clients. You will work closely with our sales teams, product marketing, and engineering groups to stay up-to-date with industry trends and devise improvements to our Cloud products. Your expertise will enable our clients to maximize the value of our platform, driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight Google Cloud Platform offerings and unique differentiators
Work with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and model integrations in customer/partner environments
Investigate and make recommendations on integration strategies, project designs, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution successfully
Attend customer sites, meetings, and other related events up to 25% of the time, as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve customer satisfaction
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Google Cloud products and services, as well as industry trends and emerging technologies


Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. The minimum qualifications for this position include:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering or a related field, with a focus on cloud computing and technical sales
Experience with technical sales designing in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role
Knowledge of legacy and current application development, cloud service delivery, and deployment
Experience with containers and related technologies


Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the minimum requirements, the following qualifications are preferred:

Experience with advanced areas of networking, Linux, SDN, virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration, load balancing, DNS, VPNs, and their application to PaaS/IaaS technologies
Experience developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice architectures, and PaaS, and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry, etc.)
Experience with cloud-native software development processes and tools for application development/deployment platforms (e.g., CI/CD)
Experience with logging/monitoring of hybrid cloud environments
Ability to learn and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
