Job Summary As a Customer Care Representative I at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling a variety of incoming phone calls while adhering to company policies, procedures, and Pennsylvania Utility Commission (PUC) rules and regulations. This role requires a proactive and solution-oriented individual who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be trained to handle various calls, including gas emergencies, electric outages, new service applications, billing requests, and credit and collections inquiries. Key Responsibilities Handle customer calls in a timely and professional manner, following company-provided procedures and ensuring accurate information is provided to customers. Demonstrate an understanding of policies and procedures to respond to customer calls, striving for reduction in the need for supervisor callbacks. Participate in voluntary and mandatory training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Assist with floor training and/or shadowing opportunities when needed to support the development of your colleagues. Complete special assignments as needed in a timely manner, demonstrating your ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively. Responsible time and attendance, adhering to the company's attendance policies and procedures. Participate in mandatory and voluntary overtime as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our customer care team. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service environment preferred, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications. High level capacity for multitasking independently and on a computer, with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, using appropriate grammar, tone, and pronunciation to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP CRM and ECC systems is a plus, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate our customer relationship management software. Previous experience working for a utility company is a plus, with a strong understanding of the industry and its regulations. Thorough understanding and adherence to PUC rules/regulations, including Chapter 56 and Chapter 14, along with blithequark policies/procedures, demonstrating your ability to work within a regulated environment. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits blithequark offers a competitive compensation package, including a start rate of $19.00 per hour, trainee incentives up to $500 after successful completion of training, and additional incentives up to $250 per month for achieving or exceeding all scorecard metrics.
