Key Responsibilities


Handle inbound calls from entrepreneurs and business leaders, understanding their needs and recommending the right American Express Small Business Services (SBS) products to meet those needs.
Convey high levels of product and service knowledge to clearly communicate the features, benefits, and other components of American Express SBS products.
Continuously develop key selling skills, including building rapport, understanding client needs, handling objections, and closing deals.
Provide exceptional customer care by responding to account-related inquiries in a fast-paced, organized customer service environment.
Document critical record information according to established procedures and protocols.
Maintain the highest standards of integrity by complying with all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to billing and sales practices.


Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


A minimum of two years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of building client loyalty through excellent listening, consultative relationship-building, creativity, and strong written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated success in a customer support and sales environment (at least two years).
The ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with proficient multitasking and navigation skills in an electronic environment.
A high school diploma or equivalent; education benefits are available to support your ongoing education and career development.


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:


A bachelor's degree or higher.
Previous experience in a sales or customer service role within the financial services industry.
Proficiency in CRM software and other customer service technologies.
