Join the Team at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Make a Difference in Critical Care Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), owned and operated by the County of San Bernardino, is a state-of-the-art 456-bed university-affiliated teaching medical center that is seeking an experienced and skilled Critical Care RN or Critical Care RN Trainee to join our team in the Gastrointestinal Lab. About Us ARMC is a renowned medical center featuring cutting-edge technology in patient care. Our facilities include a 24-hour Emergency Department with over 90,000 annual visits, a Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics, and four Primary Care Family Health Centers. We are also a Primary Stroke Center and have a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA, with over 2800 births per year. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 30-bed Community California Children's Services certified unit. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care during all phases of care in the procedural area, ensuring high-quality and patient-centered care. Plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes. Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, utilizing evidence-based practice and staying up-to-date with the latest medical research and guidelines. Monitor patient conditions, identifying and responding to changes in patient status, and escalating concerns to the healthcare team as needed. Administer medications, perform procedures, and operate medical equipment safely and effectively, maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or near misses. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care, promoting a culture of safety and respect. Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and policies that enhance patient care and outcomes. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Hold current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. For Critical Care RN Trainee: one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse. For Critical Care RN: one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse, with current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. One (1) year of Critical Care experience or experience in a procedural area as a licensed Registered Nurse. Previous experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high-acuity patient population. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including: Annual salary up to $130,457 for Critical Care RN and up to $110,593 for Critical Care RN Trainee, depending on qualifications.
