As a Crisis Specialist, you will provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals experiencing emotional distress. You will handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also known as 988, and provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments. This is a remote position, and you will work from home, providing support to individuals in crisis. **Responsibilities** * Provide telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments for individuals experiencing emotional distress * Answer crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to meet individual needs * Conduct follow-up calls for individuals deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meet the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assist in administrative tasks as needed **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required; or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist * Six months to one year of related crisis experience required * Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette * Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources * Knowledge of suicide assessments * Skill in providing crisis intervention **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a crisis support or mental health setting * Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques * Certification in crisis intervention or a related field **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote Crisis Specialist, you will work from home, providing support to individuals in crisis.
