As a Content Distribution Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering Disney's unmatched entertainment and sports content to millions of people around the world. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Content Distribution Engineer to join our Media Engineering organization as part of the Distribution Engineering team. As a Content Distribution Engineer, you will specialize in caching technology, distributed networking, and operational experience in CDN edge services. Your primary focus will be on configuring and managing CDN configurations in the Disney Distribution Mesh, actively managing OpenCache deployments with ISPs globally, and reviewing performance metrics across our caching infrastructure for improvements. Key Responsibilities Configure and manage CDN configurations in the Disney Distribution Mesh Actively manage OpenCache deployments with ISPs globally Review performance metrics across our caching infrastructure for improvements (in concert with operations and performance management teams) Oversee day-to-day operations of Disney Distribution Mesh Participate in tooling development to integrate 3rd party CDNs into unified control plane Operational Management Contact for CDN support – actively managing incidents via communication with CDN support teams Work to solve caching issues in concert with our operations and engineering organizations Provide tier-3 on-call evaluation, escalation, and support Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in content distribution network operations environments, as well as experience managing caching solutions. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing caching solutions is preferred. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range for this position, which is $87,100- $116,700 in Santa Monica, California, and $91,200-$122,200 in New York City. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. We also offer a range of benefits, including medical, financial, and other benefits, as well as a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, dependent on the level and position offered.
