About the Position We are offering a unique opportunity for weekday full-time or part-time Caregivers to work with our team in San Antonio. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to our clients, assisting them with daily tasks, and promoting their independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities Provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes, including assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, feeding, and personal hygiene Assist clients with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation, promoting their independence and self-sufficiency Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and our team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration Complete accurate and timely documentation for each shift, submitting updates to the office as required Communicate regularly with the office regarding client conditions, needs, and any concerns or issues that may arise Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you deliver the highest quality care to our clients Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: At least 6 months of experience working as a PCA, Caregiver, or CNA, preferably with the elderly Reliable transportation to travel to client homes Ability to pass a background check A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, although not essential 1+ years of home care experience would be an asset, although we are willing to train the right candidate Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working with seniors who have dementia or cognitive impairments Knowledge of non-medical care practices and procedures Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Caregiver with Griswold Home Care, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with seniors Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing client needs Basic computer skills, with the ability to complete accurate and timely documentation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Griswold Home Care, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
