Job Overview As a Commercial Sales Associate at Lowe's, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a safe and organized store environment. Your primary focus will be on creating a shopping experience that is both enjoyable and informative, ensuring that customers find the products they need to complete their home improvement projects. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and offer tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers warmly and ensure they feel valued, providing assistance in finding products and answering questions about home improvement projects. Validate loading and processing of tickets, as well as delivery of orders, to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer purchases. Maintain a safe and organized store environment, including ensuring the store is clean and tidy, products are fully stocked, and displays are attractive and easy to navigate. Provide expert advice and guidance to customers, helping them to find the right products and solutions for their home improvement needs. Process sales transactions, handle customer inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise in a professional and courteous manner. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, share knowledge, and provide support to ensure a cohesive and effective team environment. Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: 6 months of practical experience using computers, including skills such as inputting, retrieving, editing, and presenting data. 6 months of experience working with smartphones and tablets commonly used in the retail industry. Ability to secure licensure or registration related to sales, as required by law. Physical ability to perform duties that require continuous sitting, standing, and other physical activities. Ability to lift at least 10 pounds unaided and may lift more than 10 pounds with or without help in stores with Greeter departments. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds of weight unassisted and the ability to lift more than 25 pounds with or without help in all other departments. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role: 6 months of sales experience, with a proven track record of assessing customer needs and proposing tailored solutions. 6 months of experience in retail service and customer care, with a focus on resolving customer difficulties, guiding customers to products, and establishing positive relationships. Bilingual skills, particularly in languages commonly spoken in the store's local community. Certification in trade-related departments, such as electrical or lawn and garden, to increase employability and earning potential. Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues and provide tailored solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Basic math skills, with the ability to process sales transactions and handle customer payments. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, as well as weekends and holidays.
