Job Summary We're seeking experienced Commercial Lines Underwriters to work with our insurance carrier, MGA, or wholesale broker clients across various Property & Casualty sectors, including: General Liability Professional / Management Liability Property Workers Compensation Commercial Auto Umbrella Cyber Inland Marine Surety Bond Excess & Surplus Key Responsibilities As a Commercial Lines Underwriter with WAHVE, your primary responsibilities will include: Risk Selection and Classification : Conduct accurate and thorough risk selection with proper classification of insureds. Underwriting Decisions : Make critical underwriting decisions on risk acceptability, coverage alternatives, and pricing. Portfolio Management : Manage a portfolio of new and/or renewal business with a focus on book management. Relationship Building : Develop and maintain superior relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers. File Documentation : Maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines. Underwriting Profit : Achieve acceptable underwriting profit levels within assigned book of business. Requirements and Qualifications To become a successful Commercial Lines Underwriter with WAHVE, you'll need: 25 Years of Full-Time Work Experience : A minimum of 25 years of full-time work experience in the insurance industry. 10 Years of Commercial Lines Experience : At least 10 years of experience in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance.
