Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for planning and fabricating undertaking cloud framework automation, pipeline automation, and cloud capabilities utilized by the enterprise. You will collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure groups to build re-usable and secure cloud infrastructure to be used by business applications. Your expertise in cloud computing industry trends will be essential in continuously advancing and evolving the enterprise cloud platform. Key Responsibilities Work in a DevOps culture and team, responsible for architecting, designing, developing, implementing, and ongoing operations of new and emerging technology platforms Implement automation tools and systems for automated code deployment (CI/CD) Lead the design, development, and expansion of cloud infrastructure Establish and maintain procedures and guidelines to ensure high-quality work Establish or follow prioritization processes to drive work and have a sense of urgency about getting work done Communicate with stakeholders to determine requirements and solutions that address business challenges and opportunities Act as an informed authority in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with teams to ensure design best practices Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes Participate in system and acceptance testing to ensure that systems are practically suitable, technically sound, and well-integrated Test and implement system and upgrades using methods that preserve system integrity Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Knowledge of AWS Framework as a Service, automation tools like CloudFormation, and containerization using Docker Knowledge of AWS compute, data sources, security technologies, and framework as-code (IAC) Skilled in monitoring tools and organization methodologies Ability to coach and guide colleagues, including presenting innovative ideas and advancements Ability to anticipate business needs and lead a team towards identifying and addressing cross-functional issues Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a DevOps culture and team Knowledge of cloud computing industry trends and emerging technologies Experience with automated code deployment (CI/CD) and continuous monitoring Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery processes Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Southwest Airlines, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
