Key Responsibilities


Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping them solve complex big data problems and design large-scale data processing systems on the Google Cloud Platform.
Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and technical presentations to various levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
Work closely with clients to understand their data processing needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Design and implement data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform issues.
Collaborate with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and continually drive excellence in our products.
Travel up to 15% of the time to client sites to deliver solutions and conduct workshops to educate and enable clients on a case-by-case basis.
Utilize video conferencing in-person for meetings, technical reviews, and on-site delivery activities.


Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of experience working with data processing software (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive) and algorithms (e.g., MapReduce, Flume).
Experience coding in at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, or Python.
Active US Government Top Secret/SCI clearance.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience working with/on data warehouses, including data warehouse technical models, system components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/intelligence tools and environments, data structures.
Experience with big data, data retrieval, data mining, or machine learning.
Experience building multi-tier high availability applications with modern web technologies (e.g., NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, TensorFlow, etc.).
Experience architecting, developing software, or web-scale production-grade big data solutions in virtualized environments.
Experience managing customer-facing projects, troubleshooting customers' technical issues, and working with engineering, sales, services, and customers.
